This is me, Rhiannon Jones, the owner of the teaching agency Addysg Seren Education.
We are based in Kidwelly, South of Carmarthenshire.
I’m a fluent Welsh speaker and grew up in the farming community of Llangadog.
Growing up, I enjoyed performing arts, I participated in a number of school and community productions and achieved grade 6 playing the Trombone (not many people know that about me!) somehow, along the way, I developed a great interest in business.
I went to University to study Hospitality management, a bit of a wild card to say the least but then I took to the business side of it immediately as well as learning about what makes the hospitality industry strive, it’s always great to know hey!
Following my degree, I found myself working in Education recruitment and it turned out I was very good at it. I love the matching the candidates to the jobs available and a burning desire meant I wanted to see where else recruitment could take me.
I started a job with recruitment advertising. Although I learnt a great deal, I couldn’t let go of the supply recruitment I had done for the past 3 years and I explored the opportunity of potentially going alone.
6 years later, here I am, loving everything about education recruitment and gradually employing office staff and Addysg Seren Education is on the supply teacher framework and on the preferred supply list in 6 Welsh counties.
So that’s me, a 34 year old who followed a dream at 28 year old!
