Where are you in your life at 16? You’re two years away from being an adult but yet you have already made decisions of what subjects to choose for GCSE’s which will eventually shape your future? DO PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE THIS? I hope not. Knowing now what life is like after 16, you can make what ever decisions you like. Obviously choose the subjects you have an interest in, and you may be lucky enough to know what you really want to do but for others, you only discover what career path you want to take years after finishing your GCSE’s.
The advice I would give to my 16 year old self is, try as many difference things as you can as you grow up. The more you do, the more choices you give yourself. You can do this by
Reading
Going for walks
Volunteering
Organise Work Experience for yourself
Networking
The brilliant resource, the internet.
You don’t need to spend lots of money to discover new things. Schedule it into your diary, to work on your new experiences and be inspired.
